Changes....Friday.

the 1st friday in February and the weather is still as gloomy as it has been for the past few months. I wish for it to go away and let the sun shine. It is seriously affecting me in the sense of productivity wise. Kept on sleeping most of the time rather being productive like usual.

anyway, For the past few weeks i kept on pondering on the matter of "changes". A brand new year, open a new book and start a fresh new page. Whatever that is negative should be left behind in the past and let it stay there. Changes itself takes a lot of courage and confidence. Some are scared to do so as they may lose a lot of valuable things in their life. But these are only temporary, because by believing that other better and bigger things would come into your life it will help you to stay on track with the changes you are going through. Well changes are necessary anyway, for the better.

Changes takes a big leap to go forward. Leave whatever it is that does not help you to develop into a better person behind.

So yeah, that's what is best to be done in life. For better or worse, changes are necessary.

salam everyone,

First and foremost, a happy new year to all the readers out there and my best wishes for everyone. Man, life has been getting more hectic and busier than usual but I am loving it. Alhamdulillah the rezki blessed from god has never stopped and it keeps coming. 2010 has been a blessed year for myself. Work as a programme producer and event manager was offered more than usuals, so that made my year. Friends come and go, new experiences gained every second of my 2010 life, a lot of hurdles faced at the same time too and the number of achievements gained also met my annual target.

2011, fuh..we're only in the 1st month of the year and i can practically say that i am actually nervous to face my future. But of course, principles of life never changes...live the present to the fullest and always anticipate the future, never look back at the sappy past moments. I really don't know what to expect for 2011, but i pray hard that it will be better than 2010 and life will be more prosperous. I also wish that I will be able to achieve most of my targets before i turn 25. Yups, already doing the countdown and i have yet to achieve several more goals that i have set.

I started off my 1st day of 2011 by producing a radio program "rock fiesta unplugged" for Pelangi Fm. I understand the hardship that I will be going through to do so since I'm a one man show for this, but no biggies..it's for the best. The program will showcase local bands performing original and cover songs via acoustic and unplugged means. Via this, it will give them more exposure to everyone. The listeners of Pelangi Fm will get the chance to get to know what's the latest updates on their favourite local bands and to listen to the band's acoustic version of their original songs. 1st band to start the show was "Acid Youth". This band topped up the chart with their first single release, Silent Hour. Apart from that they also gave the chance to their fans to listen to their upcoming 2nd single "just" that will be out pretty soon.

I've been wanting to play around with this baby (it's a DPC ii- digital console with 64 mixers and 240 input- a fantabulous mixer console for studio audio production work), finally got the chance to do so.

A friend from K.K was in town, brought him to my favourite stall that serves one hella burger..the "Big Momma" at sha sha enterprise, Jerudong Park Food Court. Had fun that night when friends were fooling around with the water balloons.

Been busy writing new materials for my own songs and stuffs, whenever i got the time to do so. I seriously want to be more productive musically as well and I thank my brain for the non stop flow of creative ideas to write lyrics and for the music arrangements.

On the 8th January 2011, Team Origin and I was given the trust to run the entertainment side for the Brunei China Friendship association 5th anniversary dinner event at Polo Club. My utmost appreciation to a friend of mine for his recommendation to the association. That night featured non stop performances from the lively dancers, Fakhrul Razi, Putri Norizah, Feez Madea, Jason and Wallace (both from EM4). It was indeed a new challenge for the malay singers since they were asked to sing in Mandarin. But alhamdulillah they pulled it through out the night.

and on the same night celebrated a buddy's surprise birthday celebration, none other than Mitch Gizmo himself. Happy Birthday mate!

last but not the least, 1st tv drama offered to act in came from Fatim Production. "Kepulangan Di pagi syawal" is an hour special drama for the upcoming Hari Raya aidilfitri celebration. The character that I was given was to portray "Syairazie" the son of Datok Hamid and Datin Anissa. Syairazie is a spoiled, arrogant and snobbish boss to "Humairah". "Humairah", the clerk working in his father's (Dato' Hamid) company, was always looked down and belittled by "Syairazie" due to the fact that she is poor and a farmer's daughter. Syairazie was later forced to wed "Humairah" after being caught red handed by the religous officers in a situation that was set up by his own bestfriend. To find out more about this drama, be sure to catch it during the Eidulfitri on RTB 2.

movie review: Aku masih dara.

hello fellow readers, I am back this time with a movie review based on my personal judgement.

Indeed, this movie surprised me again when a non-muslim has successfully produced a religious movie that is well written, versed and researched. I do wonder sometimes why the muslim film producer could never come up with a good storyline such as those religous movie produced by David Teo? Let's not criticise the other film producers for the time being shall we?

David Teo has once again successfully touched the heart of the viewers through the production of "aku Masih dara" film. Once again without fail, his film has played around with the viewer's emotions. The script was beautifully constructed especially for the cast of "Firdaus" and the character was also portrayed wonderfully.

Aku masih Dara is a portrayal of the modern malay-muslim society. There are several parts of the script and scenes that intrigued me such as:
1- Hani to Alisha: " these days people use the headscarves to cover their love bites"

2- the scenario where losing a virginity is no longer a matter of shame.

3- the scene when a cousin who is pious, is willing to sacrifice his life to be the "scape goat" a.k.a pak sanggup just to save his cousin in the name of religion. I mean, how many would want to do such thing and carry the burden?

well, it's a matter of my own point of view where i find this movie an interesting and must watch film for this December. If you loved "syurga Cinta" then i think you will love this one too.

Now the downside of this film is the overuse of Farid Kamil. I understood that he is among one of the in demand actor for this year, but seriously his face is too saturated in the film world. His character is Cliche to most of the films that he acted in, hence I believe that the character "zachery" in this film should be hold by other actor who has never portrayed himself as a Bastard. Then that would make things more interesting to watch.

the portrayal of hani's parent in this movie is too weak. The mother lacked in facial expression and her intonations are all wrong. I am also disappointed with Rahim jailani..he is a good actor but he killed himself in this movie. Even though he has like 4-6 scenes in this film, but at least he could've made it more believable. it was very disappointing coming from an experienced actor.

all and all, I recommend everyone to watch this as and try to "selami" the values they are trying to spread through this movie.

Happy friday and Salam Eidul Adha my dear friends. I hope everyone has done their part to pray for their beloved ones who are performing their haj atm. May Allah bless their pilgrimage and return them safely to their respective homes.

I seldom rant out about charity nor about religion, but I guess since today is a blessed Friday..it will appropriate to rant a little bit about that topic.

Now, ever since the Municipal department extended the size of Bandar seri Begawan and has included Berakas area as part of it, this place has been densely populated. From a residential area it slowly bloomed to be a commercial business district/area, hence created major traffic in the early a.m and p.m. Due to the increase in population, it is also hard to find spots to perform the friday prayers as most would go to either "Mohamed Bolkiah" mosque or the surau at technical school. When friday comes, it's always a struggle to get a spot to pray.

So I was wondering, why hasn't anyone came up with the idea to sponsor the renovation of the mosque?extend the area to accommodate the denser population of Berakas? or even if possible, scrap the idea of having an aisle at the mosque and transform that as part of the praying area given that praying mats are provided rather than to have us praying next to the stinking slippers and shoes, dustbins and drains?

just a little something for us to think about.

every year, new buildings and shops are build..so why cant the Mosque have a little face lift as well? just extend the area to accommodate the denser population in this area? Or perhaps..Let's pull in for the funding? $10 bucks each from every household in Berakas? comments?

seems like every men around me is being super health conscious and are racing one another to achieve a leaner and toner body. Gaah!! they are really putting the stress on me. I have missed out gym for 2 months now and I think my love handles are getting back to it's actual size. Anyway, I am putting this pic as my main motivation and inspiration. Oh lord..gym here I come, fitting myself amongst the wild pumping testosterone. I think i should even download the movie 300 to my itouch and watch that while I work out, just maybe i will be more motivated to be super buff like Gerald Butler.

life has been pretty hectic these days especially when I started venturing into new areas of professionalism and specialties. I think it's the best way to find my own bigger distraction that could keep me sane. Yups..human beings can never escape from having their own errors that could lead to a major hoohaa a.k.a drama. But I prefer not to bother much about it and just put it aside to make me smile and happy. Everyone deserves to be happy, so do I.

Many things happened in the past few months especially career development wise. As I await for the calls from the relevant authorities for employment opportunities, I told myself not to depend too much or hope for it to happen ASAP. Rather, I created my own employment opportunities (yes, plural) by venturing into the many fields of the media and entertainment based on the 14 years of experiences gathered.

1- Modelling for Titian Budaya at Kuala Lumpur.

This has been a wonderful experience given by KKBS to me and 5 other Brunei models. The gig was held at Istana Budaya and Kraftangan@jalan conlay, Kuala Lumpur. I managed to gather new ideas and experience from this gig, which i will one day bring forth to another event that I will be managing in the future. Ideas are left to be proposed and executed, so I'm praying hard that it will happen.

so here's the bonus, I got the chance to meet Jamal Abdillah. I am a big fan of his..well let's say one of his fans out of the hundreds of thousands.

the beauty of that trip? i got to meet up a friend whom have taught me a lot of Bruneian slangs..

2- AAPA, event management for RBA.

My team and I have been working hard and endlessly dedicating our time to ensure the success of this big event. Alhamdulillah everything turned out really well that night despite the scare of the weather. I should thank who ever it is from that night who brought his/her pawang along =p Funny thing is that, it didnt rain at all at our venue despite other places having to face floods and heavy rain.

Million thanks to the respective group and individuals for their endless cooperation. Really enjoyed designing the show for the 3 AAPA events.

3- Drama Shooting for "syurgaku dimana" and "bagaikan bunga sakura"

For this year, I was given the opportunity to act again in 2 local dramas under the production of Masscom (syurgaku di mana) and dasmin production (bagaikan bunga sakura). Indeed it was a pleasant experience to work with veteran actors and actresses such as Shahrin, Hj Yahya, Rina, Azman, Erna and Zamri. They even helped out in trying to understand the scene better and to be more fluent with the scripts. I admit that i have difficulties in tuning into the local brunei dialect when the scripts are written in Standard Malay. So I had to from time to time refer to them to translate it to our local dialect.

I am done with the shooting for "bagaikan bunga sakura" with Dasmin Productions and it was indeed a whole new experience and a new role. For the previous dramas that I was involved in, my role was very subtle. But this time in the drama itself, there is one fighting scene with "shahrin" which both of us choreographed. kak Sita did a job well done in making the fake blood looking so belieavable and real.

at the time being, I am still in the process of finishing up my scenes for "syurgaku di mana". I have less than 8 more scenes to go i think, but all is well except for the fact that we are racing against the weather and time. Apparently, the crew came across some supernatural sightings while shooting some scenes in the jungles. According to the make up artist whom later showed me the photo of the supernatural presence during the shooting, it was a "hantu bungkus" a.k.a "hantu pocong". It was shot accidentally by one of the make up artists. I will try to get a copy of it and upload it to the blog. Meanwhile, here are some shots taken during the drama shooting.

What's next?

3rd of December is just around the corner and our group the "EM5" are invited by the RTB producer to be a part of the upcoming Rhapsody, mou program between Brunei-indonesia-singapore-Malaysia. Requirements for the show itself is very demanding as our group will be singing and dancing at the same time. Imagine us doing a gimmick like the k-pop bands whenever they perform. HOMAIGOSH! that requires a lot of cardio training to be able to dance and sing at the same time.

I havent met the boys for quite some time due to my commitments to other projects but, seems like it's gonna be another hectic month for me til December.

finally the time has come! the project titian budaya has been postponed for 2 years in a row and I didnt expect that 2010 the ministry has managed to confirmed the MOU between malaysia and Brunei for the exchange ideas for cultural and traditional shows.

ISTANA BUDAYA!!! yeeeebbbaaaaaa!!! yes yes you ISTANA BUDAYA, finally got the chance to do the runway walk there!=) prayers do get answered when you pray very2 hard for TWO frigging years ei?=D

Anyway, I will be on hiatus for 9 days for the radio work as I will be away to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for a 3 days gig and settling some business with some record labels. Let's see if i can hook up some networking there. Cheers.

Local entertainment Scene part 1

Goals, ambitions and dreams...these are the factors that drives people to where they want to be. Question remains..how to achieve them?

Opportunities come and go, it all depends whether you would want to grab it or let it go. Opportunists will take every chances, narcissistic and skeptics will doubt these chances and foresee the difficulties first rather than the benefits and procastinators will just take their time and belief that another chance will come by their way.

We have seen many examples from our local artists who have grabbed every opportunities and put their heart to their products. It is all about the sacrifice. Looking from the perspectives of our Entertainment scene in Brunei Darussalam, several artists have pushed themselves to a point where they created such a big gap between them and the rest. Thanks to them they have created hope to the rest. Who said that our entertainment scene will just stay stagnant and be seen as an unprofitable business? As long as you have what it takes to be out there n push yourself to be beyond your own limits (it's an understatement to say there's a limit to everyone though, sky is the limit!).

Several updates on the success of our local entertainment scenes would be that of the establishment of BEAT sdn Bhd, where some time soon our local music producers and composers will be rewarded with broadcasting royalties in which I believe that we should have started this aeons ago. Local artists such as the likes of Hill Zaini, D' Hask and Eqah have set a foundation a bridge where others should follow suit. Since now there is a bridge for the local entertainers to cross, why not make full use of it?

Entertainment in Brunei is still seen as a scene rather an industry. It's hard to state out the facts why this lucrative business cannot be considered as a fruitful prospects to our economy. Just imagine the hundreds and millions of dollars that can be generated through shows and royalties earned through songs and album sales, shows and broadcasting rights and royalties...that somehow can also help out our economy too dont you think? I guess the easiest way to justify this ignorance would be due to the political and religious aspects? the issue on what is halal and haram to the economy? let's not dwell too much on that as there will be a lot of things that will be needed to be stated.

From the looks of it, there is hope for our music scene to prosper..but I just think that it needs some speeding up. Will talk more about this soon especially on the other fields of our entertainment scene here in Brunei.

Dreams finally achieved.

OMG!!!!!!! Never believed that this could turn out to be a reality!!!!!! million thanks to LILY CHIAM for giving me such blessed opportunity which I have been looking forward to for ages!!!

A month ago, I received a call from Lily asking me for recommendations for rappers and singers who could do something like "super junior" and sort and a part from that an emceeing offer for her concert. I do remember mentioning lists of names and she still could not find the suitable one for the 2 songs she just composed. I wanted to try to offer myself but was too scared to do so as she might think that I am vain and selfish. But somehow my inner voice keeps on telling me to just do it and just see if she would like it or not..cos this is just another opportunity lying in front which is up for grabs for anyone. So I told her and offered myself..and I still do remember that she agreed on trying and told me frankly that if my voice does not suits the song I promised her that I will help her find someone who can sing it better.

So we made an appointment to meet up at her music school, there I was singing to "it's you" while she plays the piano. Next thing I know, she scheduled me to attend several trainings to tweak my voice..practised singing "it's you" with Calvin and..that led to another offer to sing "bersama selamanya" with Calvin, Wallace (Y.E.S), Jason and Tea- J (rapper). Up till now I am still star struck by the idea of LILY CHIAM giving me such opportunities to be a part of her 2nd EP album. WOW...god must have finally listened to my prayers after ages of praying to give me such opportunities. Awesome~

We're jammed packed with our rehearsals for this week till this saturday, 5th June to prepare for the concert. Yes, concert!!! wuhuu! finally get the chance to say that! This will be my very first time to sing in front of public and and and...at ampitheatre..I am actually super duper ecstatic about this idea. Not only I will be emceeing for the concert, but I will be performing and dancing to it as well! alhamdulillah...

So boys and girls, ladies and gents...get your tickets yea? come to the concert!!!!

Life is like a dice, how you roll it to get a "6".. how you will have to calculate every possibilities and combination. Our life are based on the hard work and effort that we put in it. But as I mentioned earlier, it also involves every possibilities (ups and downs, good or bad) and combination (the ways of how to achieve those goals and targets or the easiest way to put it is the trials and errors that we have to go through). Yups, life is all about trials and errors. But it all depends on the individual's choice whether u want to play safe or u want to be more daring/ brave to go through every turmoils.

My life as an entertainer started 13 years ago and I must say that I am still not yet satisfied of where I have lead my life to. I must admit that progress are slow, but I do not resent the good and the bad times as it has made me more mature dealing with the politics of life.

I was browsing through my digital photo collections and sighed browsing through it. 13 years of being in the industry and I have not yet reached my targets. 5 years being a radio host, 13 years being a tv host, 7 years being an mc, 7 years as an actor, 6 years being a script writer, 6 years of being an entreprenuer and 2 years of being a recording artist..I still feel that I lack in many aspects. Nevertheless, I am grateful of these experiences even though i have not achieved much yet.

I keep on pondering on the many ways and possibilities of achieving a higher degree of success. People keep on telling me that it is all politics, but I do not believe so. Achievements are more on the continuous efforts of developing one self to a certain extent where nobody has ever achieved it. That's what I believed in. After all these years, I thought it would be hard for me to blend into the society and be accepted. But thanks to the listeners and viewers, they proved me wrong.

Being a part of the entertainment world has always been my deepest passion. My mind flows of artsy stuffs, my feet stomps and my heart beats the beat of the music, my voice hums the melodies of the songs, my hands that craft the designs of art..huh..i dont know..I just seriously feel like I have a barrier that's slowing me down which I do not wish to. Even at certain times, all these ideas that rushed to me makes me feel like I am about to explode! I keep on telling myself that I wish that I can do more as I feel that what I have done so far is not enough. I have another year to go to achieve and do as much as I can to improve certain areas of the entertainment world as what I have strategically planned 5 years ago. Man..I wish things could be easier..but it always involves politic.

Nevertheless..I still do not resent what I have gone through.

Oh yeah..I used to be quite cynical when it comes to the ideas of fans and supporters though as I keep on thinking that who am I to have such status. Yeah..I do at times have that feelings of underestimating myself thinking I am not as good as others. But one of my good friends always remind me saying- we cant make everyone to like us, every individual is unique and it will be boring n dull to be the same as the other. I am forever grateful to that friend for pulling me out from misery. With the creation of social networks and with the amazing response from the members of the public..now I strongly and truly believe that fans and supporters do exist. Thank you for your endless support=)

2010 updates, the journey so far.

AGES man!! AGES!!! Sorry blog for abandoning you..anyway, straight to the point.

Alhamdulillah after holding on strongly to my philosophy it has brought me to where I am right now. Well, I wont say that I am that successful yet but I am somewhere reaching the goals I have set for my life like err.. 5 years ago? So what I have achieved and where I am standing right now is my 5 years strategic plan.

Staying true to myself and my life philosophy of " grabbing every opportunities that lies in front of you, if the opportunities arent there create one and work on it full heartedly" has so far proven it's worth.

Within this 5 months alone, projects offered have been more than last year. Apart from that I am also a certified radio program producer as per the courses I have attended courtesy of RTB. A big thanks to them for the opportunities.

On the other hand, I have also been dealing with lots of questions bombarded to me by dearest supporters. Everything started off with the hosting of paspot to fame season 3, where I agreed once more to make a comeback for it. But due to personal reasons and several undisputed negotiations, I had to stop hosting it. It was all worthwhile doing so as I am here moving on with several other projects. As they say, one door closes many more opens. But thanks anyway for your continous support everyone.

Now, here's another update. I have been actively producing more music and songs for my upcoming singles so that's something to look forward to as I am experimenting on different genres. This will also be my kick start as a music producer.

Another big thing that happened so far is my collaboration projects with Lily Chiam for her EMG music curriculum project and also her 2nd EP album. The EMG music curriculum project will be for the toddlers on the terms, techincality and theories of music, whereas the EP album Lily Chiam has composed two songs for me to belt out. The 1st song "bersama-selamanya" was recorded and sung with the other members of EM5: Wallace, Calvin, Jason and Tea-J (rapper) and was premiered today on Pelangi FM. That's my 1st trial of singing a bilingual (malay and mandarin) pop song. Furthermore, the 2nd song is also another fusion of genre (pop/hip hop and rnb) called "it's you". That will be released on the 30th May 2010, 5pm at pelangi FM.

4 years of learning and grasping every knowledge about politics and the nitty gritty details about administrative work has really made me realise a lot of things. It makes you question on the integrity and the managerial behaviors when conflict starts to arise. You wonder about the efficiency of the system and the effectiveness of it. Where were those individuals when conflict arises.

Human nature is too complicated to be understood. Different people with their own agendas and in addition to that, their personality plays a part in the turbulence of conflict. We question once again on the integrity of the politics practised and the managerial behavior applied.

Where, which and when does different standard operating procedures are applicable to different situations and conflicts? Furthermore, the biggest question lies on whether such Standard operating Procedures does exist in certain aspects or division.

Moving on to human behavior...

I have understood well on the different aspects of human behavior in terms of the sociological, political and scientific aspects. People listens and believe what they hear from their immediate sources and neglects the responsibility on finding out the truth behind such issues. Motion pictures are explicitly hard evidences to prove an individual's behavior of whether you are guilty or innocent of your action. But, what it fails to relay are the atmosphere and the audio to back up such actions.

Yes we have heard and read from tabloids and all where most are backed up with hard evidences such as photos, but we have yet fail to acknowledge the real situation and the position of the defendant. Evidences itself can be manipulated to befit another person in order to save them from being blamed of the conflict that occured.

Huh..human nature and the bureaucracies..it separates an individual from sanity. Bureaucracies becomes ineffective and inefficient when one level based their judgements on the basis of personal greed, hidden agendas and self interests.

i feel burdened...with a lot of secrets kept, many fingers pointing only to one...n no matter how hard and how firm and rigid of the facts you hold..still the fingers will only point at none other than one.

you try to ease your mind, thinking that you can go through it well. Without having to worry of the outcome, you still live life like there's no weight to carry. But, that was just your thought..as more came. You feel shattered..but what is there to do? This big black box you've been holding on..nothing can be done..

People only believe on what they see..but have they ever try to put themselves in the real situation of the one who's experiencing it? mouth and lips moves on what they hear and see..but how about trying to find out which is right and which is false?

you sit alone at one corner..feeling you are shone by nothing..not even a glimpse of hope..but just pure darkness..but u ask yourself, would you let everyone fade out n just swirl yourself into the darkness? or you rather just move on n get back on your own two feet even when you have lost nearly everything?

I would pick myself back up..cos I believe that no one has control towards anyone's life except for god and the owner of the life itself.

the irony of life is that when people say they understood what you are going through, but actually they dont..cos if they do they wouldnt try to burden you. what is needed by life now is just silence, peace of mind and time alone to gather back the strength to pull yourself back up on your own two feet. That is how life is...everything, it all depends on you, on how you gather back your strength to pull yourself out from the misery.

the irony of life...having to go through many ups and downs just to teach you of what is best to do in life. the irony of life...having people around you believing only what they see and hear but not having to put any effort to discover the real truth. The irony of life...of how some live a life covered by masks deceive others. The irony of life..when one only tries to save their own ass even after knowing that at one point they are involved in the propaganda.

happy new year everyone! yeah i know i'm quite way behind in greeting you lots but been really tied up with my new journey, new path and new challenges. So for the past few weeks I have been undergoing training to be a producer and I am still in the process to be there. Been meeting up a lot of wonderful and amazing people to work with and many lessons learned throughout the journey.

There were several ups and downs that I had to go through especially the loss of my grandmother which was entirely unbearable. Bangkung jua mata..but yeah that was destined to be, she's at a better place now. God bless her!

wow..schedules for the early 2010 has already been filled up with lots and lots of tv shootings and production work. Didn't imagine that it would be that hectic, but I'm loving it! P2f elimination round recording will be this friday and saturday, all the best to the 42 contestants! only 16 will go through..very nerve wrecking indeed!
Tv commercials production work is around the corner, rtb awards, script writing work, another modelling gig in february (yet to be confirmed), commentary work and also more tv hosting which i love so much.

as for the radio work?i will be back asap..maybe by next week?=)

here's something random that i want to rant. I am at the ward at the moment taking care of my gramps who are ill .I hope this can be an eye opener to everyone rather be made a contraversial issue for anyone to condemn me about my thoughts.

Human life cycle is very unique indeed on how we started as a baby n grow old and be back acting like a baby. We were once young, wrinkle-less, everywhere on our body is tight and we enjoy the givings of .god on earth. Some may forget their creator once living such a youthful and wonderful life, whereas some would dedicate their life all throughout their living periods to gather all the heavenly point (pahala) to ensure a better living in the hereafter. Well, every religion states it that way.

Anyway, as we indulge ourselves with the earthly sins the more we forget about death as we tend to think that we can defy the heavenly arrangements to live longer, stronger, richer and try to escape death as long as wealth can pay for it. I know that I am just ranting here..but how many of us tend to be that way? forgetting bout our life in the hereafter..with all the sins we have committed during our lifetime? would we seek repentance only when we are lying there sick and ill? paralysed and not being able to do much as how we used to when we were healthier, stronger and younger?

alright Imma stop talking bout that as i am not holier than thou.

With what i observed here in the ward, i'm just quite surprised that certain families would let their young sons or daughters to take care of their sick grandparents. Sedih jua eh..I mean, isnt it suppose to be the children to take care of their own parents?rather the grandchildren taking care of their grandparents? Every ill "nenek" in these wards are being taken care of their grandchildren! Not even a single one of them are the children to these neneks. Usually that's the case what I always hear from people though..only minority of the children would want to take care and sleep in the ward with their ill parents, well at least it isnt as worse as some families who sends their maids to take care of their ill parents or grandparents.

Most would argue back by saying that they have a wife or husband and children to attend to, but yeah seriously? try to look back at your past and ask yourselves..who took care of you when you were a baby? who took care of you when you were young? who took care of you when you were sick? I mean..just try to look back at all the sacrifices that your parents did to you. If your parents can took care of you and your siblings, stay up all night with you to ensure your safety when you are sick, why cant you do the same thing to them? rather sending your children or your maid to take care of them?

Few of my chatters gave me various reasons on why some people do so..they say they have work lah..tired after work lah..but for godsake didnt their parents went through the same thing too?!! sacrificed every resting period and sleep to take care of you when you were a baby? or when you were sick?!!

I find it despicable for people to treat their ill fathers or mothers that way. Hence I would not be surprised if their children would do the same thing to them too in the future.

alright, enough with the disappointment and relentless self expression.

Here's a freaky fact that I just learned by today. By tonight's experience I can say it's enough to freak me out. I hear all these ill grandmothers calling out the names of their dead relatives!! saying that they came to visit, crying for them not to leave them and so on. Wow..it's either they are deluded due to the meds they are taking or some paranormal activity is happening here. On the other note, I am happy also that this grandmother who is one bed away from my grandma is non stop with her "tasbih" and "solawat". Good for her.

Well, I just pray hard that my grandmother will get well soon cos it's too painful to see all those needles and hose poking her bony arms n leaving her with big red patches of blood clot due to the aftermath.

Alhamdulillah, 4 years studying in UBD and finally I will be graduating with a degree+honours in Public Policy and Administration this saturday morning. Ironically that whatever I have been doing (work wise) has never been related with what I studied. It's a relief now that I have passed that stage and insyallah will pursue more in life such as doing my masters and try to live a better life. Congratulations to the rest of the graduates=)

Experiences makes people better in a relationship or it worsens you as an individual

n/b: opinions may differ, but feel free to criticize, comment or discuss.

Life may not turn out as smooth as how you have dreamed of it to be, but every single second..every single experience..every single mistakes are worth to live for as that is what will make us a better person.

Experience as most would say is the best teacher in life. Every actions done that resulted to mistakes and successes will become anyone's guideline to prepare themselves for worse things that are yet to be encountered.

Relationship. Those who have lesser experiences would find it more difficult to try to deal with their issues arising from their relationship. It is true don't you think? when compared to those who have been in and out of many relationships, they tend to be more immune and stronger towards those repetitive lies, deceptions, heartaches, challenges and betrayals. It's not like they don't love their partner, but if it has been decided by the partner to cause the same heartaches that they have been through then why bother to be and get hurt? these experienced individuals would just be calm with it as they are just too immune! hence, making them easily fall out of love. Don't blame them, because they have tried to love you but you ruined it!

Some individuals might stay in the problematic relationship and see how far and how clever their deceitful partner can be or to see if there's any room for improvements.On the first case mentioned earlier, if they have the dark intention to get back at them usually it would end up 10 times worse. But on the second case, to some if their experiences say that the relationship is unfix-able, they would prefer to walk away and move on with someone 10 times better and hotter!

YES! it is true that experiences teaches you a lot of things but it is also a double edge sword to some, depending on your mind set and your personality.

If you have been cheated many times and treated like Sh*t in most of your past relationships, experiences would either make you one hell of a player as you would want to take out your revenge to the opposite gender and let them feel what you have been through or it would make you one hell of a skeptic and a loner due to your lost of trust and fear.

On a positive note, experiences can make one a stronger, better and wiser individual where they will want to go through and face many obstacles in any of their relationships calmly, patiently, wisely and courageously. Experiences would automatically give them quick and brief suggestions of what to do if worse were to happen, either you would want to fix it as you have learned from it or take a quick exit and make a run with the next best thing (which i personally thing is the best option! ;p) well that depends again on the factor of individual's personality.

Relationship, one hell of a messy thing for anyone to go through. But yet, the best thing to be your analytical tool to see how strong your heart is to go through every heartaches, how strong your mentality will be to think rationally and wisely when the worse things happened and last but not least, how courageous your spirit will be to face every obstacles and challenges.It also gives you those beautiful meanings to life via the feelings of being loved and cared for (which most of these can only be felt during the honeymoon period, after that..it's a kaput!).

We have read many articles on Doc Love advices on relationships, some tips or tricks to it. YES! most of what have been written are true and applicable to those who are to experience the feelings of being in a relationship as it based on their personal experiences. All of those advices if applied well such as considering the factor of the personality of the individuals that you are dating, then it would do you good. Whereas, if you apply it without making any rational judgments it will ruin you as you would be skeptical of their every moves.

My belief? I would not blame any individuals or be judgmental to them if they have been in and out of many relationships. Some may call them as a player, a c*nt or a fool who badly manages their love life. But if you look at it from the aspect of the experiences that they have gained, they are the knowledgeable ones. They are the ones who are well prepared for the worse.

P/s: Will try to talk something better rather this gibberish. Other things to worry about..global economic issues, environmental issues and yada yada yada...

Note to self: I love my experiences...never regretted any of it and never will. It has equipped me with better knowledge and guidance.

SOH crews, performers and volunteers appreciation night

After all the hard work in ensuring a smooth flow on the gala night all of us celebrated the success of the charity gala night. Alhamdulillah that SOH has managed to raise several more funds as assurance for future work with the families in poverty and also in meeting the SOH's goals and aims.

On the night of the concert itself I was given a better opportunity of contributing more than just being the MC for that night. Myself and Rozi(left) were the stage manager and it is indeed a valuable working experience. I gave my mcing slot to my colleague Afli and partnered him up with Baizura a renowned gorgeous newscaster and mc in Brunei Darussalam.

The charity gala night dinner concert is just the beginning for Sounds of hope, as a non government association based on volunteer work and funds from the public, SOH would appreciate the continous support from the public in terms of relaying informations about families in poverty, your energy and time as we are from time to time recruiting volunteers who have the heart to help out these families in poverty. More activities will be posted in the near future, as for the time being we are working the extra mile to raise more funds to sustain present and future plans.

students' night ( PTE meragang and MTSSR)

Seems like there's a new format to the show made by the producer. Oh well, i'll go along with it. As some would say the more the merrier right? The talkative and crazy they are, the crazier the show gets..but the question remains...will I be able to handle it? heheheh of course, Insyallah.

Anyway,for this week's edition of Students' Night the producer managed to get hold of these two girls to join me. Heyhey..what dya know? tonight's a mix school=) and it's the ladies in which I already had the hinch that they would go crazy with what they were going to talk about.

Shahida from PTE meragang together with Fira from MTSSR really proved me wrong that night. I thought at first they would be really reserve since they didnt talk much during the introduction phase. But towards the end, it's good to know that they managed to exchange their views with the listeners about their students' life.

fact of the night:

1- Fira was really nervous when it was her turn to talk and do her intro. Even wanted to make several trips to the loo which she didnt in the end, as she managed to loosen up after non stop gigglings and laughters with us. You did well fira=)

2- Shahida shared her own perspectives and experiences of studying in PTE meragang, which I must say quite refreshing. It's good that she was very honest about her fair share of POVs on life as a student.

3- The most common question i received from the chatters and texters were if they are attached with somebody or not. Please...do come up with more brilliant questions next time guys=) that's old school stuffs.

in conclusion, I have learned that PTE meragang Students are lucky to have breath taking views of the meragang beach especially from their library. Now, why is it during my time our school environment was darn dull? Put me back in school!!! PTE meragang please~ hehehe NOT! I wouldnt want to go through those excruciating moments of having to revise and sit for A'levels no more. Once is enough=)

latest projects: Music Curriculum Singing with EMF

holla! Things have been very hectic for the past few weeks. Offers come and offers go which can be quite disappointing but heys I wont dread on it as there are other better things coming my way. I really thought at first that, right after I finished my degree courses I would be entirely doing nothing while waiting for employment replies from respective sectors. But that didnt turn out quite the way I thought it would be.

All throughout my 12 years of working in the media industry, alhamdulillah I have managed to venture into a lot of the media field. I am currently working on improving on some of it to make it more sustainable for my future, whereas some of those sectors in the media industry have remain blant and stagnant.

Music has always been my passion since I was 6 years old after being introduced to heavy rock metal bands, oh goodness me...Search and Wings were the very first few songs I ever listened to and tried 'karaoke'ing to it in every family functions. And yes..indeed my first statement on this paragraph is very very cliche. But that's not the whole point of this article. I have managed to achieve those dreams to have my very own songs..be it a featuring by other artists or my very own (which is coming very soon once I have 4 days free from errands). I will admit this too that I am an amateur when it comes to singing and have yet to polish it by learning all the proper techniques and learn to have a perfect pitch ears.

Today, I am very fortunate to be given that opportunity by Mdm Lily Chiam of EMF to work with her on a music curriculum. You will be surprised that I was asked to sing to kids' songs which are freshly composed and arranged by lily and her team. I was taken aback at first, but heys it comes with Kaching! =) that matters the most.

a man's gotta do what he has got to do especially to protect his interest, well this time I am talking about protecting his own woman. Man can go to a certain extent to ensure happiness and flawless relationship even in the manner of having to face the angst and wrath of their own woman. The question that remains is whether your woman will still stay with you after finding out the depths of your actions to save the relationship?

This post may be ambigous but as to whom who have went through such messed up situation you may understand what it's like to face every obstacles and challenges. Not only having to put your patience at the highest level, put to put a man's pride and ego just to try to save every pieces of the relationship.

A man can stand strong with pride and hide every sadness that they are facing. A man can easily carve a fake smile on their face just to show that nothing is wrong with them as most men would hate letting others know what they are going through. Yes you may call it being egoistical but for a valid and good reason. To save face for both the man and the woman. The burden of trying to tell others that yes the relationship is going well and happy, which actually there are hidden agendas to it.

It may be too patriarchal to say this, but every men will eventually have to face the biggest obstacle in their life of making the biggest and painful decision. In which, right after they will once again rise to be stronger and immune to such hurtings and sadness.

Yes I have been on another hiatus as work have been piling up (which I'm not complaining at all about that), but alhamdulillah that has been the rezqi god blessed me with all throughout the month of Ramadhan.

First and foremost, I would like to greet every muslim readers of my blog "Salam Eidulfitri Minal Aidil Walfaizin". How it has affected us from being a people person to being slaves to technology. It is undeniable however that we cannot escape or run away from technology. All throughout the talkshow, it was a heated debate between the guys and the girls fighting upon the pros and cons.

Here we touched mainly from the economic stresses that hits most Bruneians, psychological and sociological aspects where we touched on the subcultures of "cutters" and to suicidal teenagers.

Alhamdulillah, we have managed to record 5 episodes so far and I still need to get the photos for the 1st episode: "anak Ikan/toy boy or toy girl" which was recorded last week 29th August '09. This new talkshow will be a mind opener for the public as we discussed a lot of hot social issues and problems that's currently happening in Brunei Darussalam. Some of the issues have been neglected totally thus myself and the crew feels that it's an obligation for us to make the public realise of such things.

This talkshow is something new in RTB as we let different perspectives to share their views based on the grounds that they are standing on. We have POV's from speacilists in different areas such as religous pov's (Based on Islam), psychological and sociological POV's and youth's POVs. Why we think it's important to have different views and aspects? This is so that we have neutral POVs.

Be sure to watch out for this show and insyallah together we will benefit from it=)

2 weeks of errands

salam everyone, hope you readers are in good shape and health=)

I have not been able to prepare something mind blowing for you to read, ponder and critcisize as for the past 2 weeks I have been very occupied with my errands and work. Alhamdulillah, god has answered my prayers once again and blessed me with more rezki to help me support my "unemployed" teenage life. Heys...dont think I dont have bills to pay, I do..thus I have to sacrifice every time that I have and squeeze every slots to make as much money as possible especially since Ramadhan is around the corner and Syawal has already spread it's vibe earlier than Ramadhan..sad though..but it's the fact!

Yes..yes..I know that I have been slacking in updating my blog, but I tried my dearest visitors=)

Anyway, first of I'd like to announce the change of name for this site..rather than calling it "my Skeptical views" i'm changing it to "Zayn Sabri" at least I would not be restricted for my writings..which means that I can write other things than being skeptical all the time. Changes..that's what every individuals have to make from time to time..make changes that can better your life and others.

usually some would make a warning either to ask you to leave the post if you're easily offended or to stay if you would like to casually read it and comment it. But i think it would be best if any of you to take your time to read the post. Come what may the comments will be, I will accept it.

salam, Hola readers=) For the past few days it has been really hectic for me especially for my mind, body and soul. Massive and critical decisions to be made which cornered every side of me. I was restless, sleepless and on top of that it got me so confused.

For the past few days I have been approached by different individuals with different backgrounds, different beliefs and different life philosophy. It made me think to the very core of every topics discussed and also their behavior. Yes, let me recall again of my nature of being critical and skeptical in life. I often ask myself why do people behave in such ways, why are their upbringings different from any other and then once i'm done composing millions of questions I tend to reflect it on myself.

Let me share with you readers some bits of my journey for the past few months. I came across an old friend, a very good friend from college whom I occasionally would bump into when she's back in Brunei for her summer holidays. We talked and discussed about several few things especially about the situation I am facing right now. Well, to be honest I think it has been years I never discussed or talked about religion so passionately until we were drowned into it for hours and hours.

It never occured to me to realise that I am drowned by the great offers provided by this wonderful life (duniawi). As I successfully developed and stabilise myself in the industry I am in, I have totally forgotten that whatever I have and had are just temporary. When I lost part of my success, I was hit hard by it. Unable to accept the fact that it was taken away by god, instead blamed several individuals for it. My life changed from who I used to be and made several people unhappy about it. But I was oblivious to those reactions and unsatisfaction. As a matter of fact, I even ruled out my own life's philosophy of only having to care of what and how I feel! As long as I am happy with the way I am living my life, that matters most. But of course I was wrong.

Try to have a look around you or perhaps just ask yourself, what do you do and how do you react when a misfortune hits you? Some of us tend to curse god and hated god for putting us in our situation, some would cursed and blamed others too. But has it come across your mind that maybe god is testing you? As a matter of fact, god is trying to take away those happiness and successes as you have forgotten about god, forgotten about your roots and forgotten to help others? Has it ever occur to you that those who are tested always are those who are loved and deared by god?

Things happen for a reason. Before I believed that life is a matter of choice, either you want to destroy it or live life by doing beneficial things for both worlds (now and after death). But to come to think of it again, life are supposed to be doing all beneficial and positive things it was never a choice because that IS how we are suppose to live our life.

Funny enough that for couple of months I felt like an empty can. I dont know where to lead my life, had 2 accidents earlier this year which cost me my arm and fingers, and I even had several other misfortunes too. I must admit that my life was actually more to being of a secular muslim then a true sunni practitioner. Which I was wrong to do so. Well..part of me is being grateful of it as I was thankful that I wasnt influenced by most of my atheist friends.

Even for these couple of months I had heated debate with my parents of whom I wanted to settle down with. It was tough and all three of us went ballistic over the issue of woman and hijab. I strongly believed that when a woman wears a hijab, that does not measure the level of religous values or their personalities and good behaviors. I have to apologise about this to every woman out there. I actually had bad personal experiences (yes stressing the plurality in it) with women who wears hijab. Before I believed that "hijab" was an instrument of deception used by women to make people think that they are religous, nice and piety. Well, I dont have to explain this as it will be a seriously lengthy discussion..just look around you and you be your own judge. It is actually sad when "hijab" is exploited as an instrument of deception but worse only as a fashion. (click here to read on related article)

My belief about woman was really simple, you can tell that they are nice and kind if they treat me, my families and her own families with utmost respect, love, care and kindness. I actually even believed that it's okay to settle down in a relationship with a woman who does not practice much about islam but as long as she's willing to learn and make those transition slowly it will be fine. For this, it's another different story.

Some would think this next statement is utterly ridiculous, condemning and an extremist's point of view.

Who is a muslim? what criterias make them a muslim? is believing in syahadah only, enough to make us a muslim? by doing good deeds, is that enough to make us a good muslim? I actually would love to receive comments on this as myself, a being created by god filled with mistakes and imperfections would love to learn more and understand more about my religion.

I often scrutinize people who would say i'll go to hell for the sins i've committed even no matter if i can read the quran and pray 5 times a day. I would usually brush off those angers by saying to them "it's between me and god, the people are not god thus they have no authority nor any powers to decide where I will be heading after I die". But to come to think of it..I was actually being so cynical! What was i thinking that it's between me and god? I mean..why did i even forget the fact that God is only most forgiving to the people who seek for true repentence and vowed to never repeat the same mistakes?

Owh, I nearly forgot to mention about my experience yesterday when I was doing my Vox pop shooting. I was astonished and proud of this one muslimah who eventhough how persistent this guy was to try to shake hands with her, she never gave in. The man was pissed about this and tried many ways to shake hands with her, even tried covering his hand by using his sleeves so that there wont be any skin contact but the muslimah just replied to him, " I'm sorry uncle, but you are not my muhrim". He further argued that he has covered his skin (well the fact that he was gatal really put me to my nerve actually). Then this woman simply replied to him, " even if i do so you are not my muhrim, it is haram for us to even touch each other and I will be the one who will carry those sins". Now..how many of us have came across these? How many muslimah out there dares to say such things? Most of us would argue it back by saying it's just our culture and it's a matter of showing respect to the elderlies eventhough they are not our "muhrim"..but did religion made any exemption for culture?No right?

Anyway, this post is getting longer and longer..heheh will continue this some other time. Owh..I have some queries..how does "sembahyang istikharah" works actually?anyone can help me with this?

I did mentioned before that I watched that movie 6 times and still have the same impact brought by it? Well, it's one of my lucky days=)

Starting from tomorrow, the production work for "U2" talkshow which I am co-hosting with a good friend of mine will commence. Glad to be back on TV.

Students' night: SMJA

I had a great time last night interviewing these kids. Well, at first it might seem odd to them since it was their first time to be in the studio. It happens..most of the students that I have during students' night would be quite shy and feel a bit intimidated - which I usually would not want them to feel like that. But the great thing about them is that, as young as 16s and 18 they managed to get a grip of themselves and be the youthful them.

The things that i always find fascinating during these interviews are the part when they share their self experience as a Student of their school. Different schools would have different environment and surroundings, activities, clubs and academic issues.

As for SMJA, it's a historical school among the very few others that still lives on from generation to generation. It's history being passed on and all the great achievements collected all throughout the years became the pride of each generation that attended SMJA.

Alright, I think i was being a bit sentimental there as I didnt get to feel such things..heheheh for the record I didnt attend the same school as my parents. I could have as that would make me really proud of being the 2nd generation, but i had different things going on with my life.

Kudos to Kim and Z (the twins), Alwi and Wahyuddin for the great job last night. It was very entertaining and informative! great job guys!!

OPTIMISTIC and not married yet (correction)

It's really funny how some would be skeptical about the amount of effort that I put into my work and apart from that my decisions of what I'm going to do with my life.

I have a plan..actually a strategic plan of what I am going to do for the present and also the things that I am preparing for my future. From time to time, I keep on thinking and re-structuring every plans that I've made to associate itself to the flow of time. Never mind about me starting from scratch as I believe that would be the best thing ever to happen to someone's life. Starting from scratch would mean that one will be able to acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills of what they are about to do, plan to do and do. you're not catching my drift do you?

Well, this is it. There would be a time when an individual feels that he/she have been slacking in achieving many things in their life. I have come to that point. I have been guilty of slacking especially in doing things that I am supposed to do, as scheduled and planned. I will not quote the excuse of "i'm just human" because that's the cynical way of seeing things, whereas I should be more optimistic!!! O-P-T-I-M-I-S-T-I-C, OPTIMISTIC!!!

I have made a choice in my life and where I will direct it to. All I need to do is be firm and believe in myself. My strategic plans? yes that will still be initiated one by one following the scheduled time but of course as soon as possible.

Now, this is something that I would like to clear off from everybody's perception and speculation especially to those who have been emailing me and messaging me in facebook. Mr Zayn Sabri is not married yet, but!! I am officially off limits. Goodness..I cant believe I even have to publicisize that..lolz!! And yes yes yes...I will let you know if I am married and have kids of my own. Really looking forward to that actually. 2- composing more songs for moi and Magnifhobia (well trying to actually), so far I have 4 in the pipeline : ain't gonna, Nothing lasts, Getting there and Sensual.
3- working on my nicotine addiction..quitting cold turkey and yes i'm getting the withdrawals..but getting the hang of it.
4- preparing for 2 big gigs: U2 talkshow (15 episodes) and a car show (insyallah)
5- initiated one of my to do things, alhamdulillah it's going fine so far.
6- re-structuring my radio shows..in dire need of major improvements.
7- trying to live a healthy life..trying to..lolz..

Horror movie buffs: paku kuntilanak

to all movie buffs, if Kuntilanak the trilogies are part of your favourite horror movie lists you have got to check out this latest indonesian horror movie called "Paku kuntilanak". Among the casts are Dewi persik,kiwil and keith foo. The trailer itself spooked me out and man..this time the "kuntilanak" herself have longer hairs than any previous "kuntilanaks" lolz.

But according to some sources, this movie is highly protested by the MUI (majlis ulama indonesia) due to some scenes being vulgar. Yups...they have those steamy actions. But whatever their verdict are, i think it's best if they still allow this movie to be played in cinemas but just cut off those vulgar scenes if it aint that much.

MSV's verdict: this movie actually reminded me of a classic malay movie produced by "cathay keris" called gergasi. Remember that good old classic movie where this village guy tried to kill a "pontianak" that has been creating chaos in the village? Well what happened then was that, he nailed the "pontianak's" head and she turned to a beautiful lady. Cut story short, the guy married her..had a daughter..then one day while the daughter was combing her mum's hair, the comb got stucked to the nail and pulled it out. The mum turned to a "pontianak" again.

I think, maybe "paku kuntilanak" was inspired from that movie? who knows...

national youth day

happy national youth day to all Bruneian youths! I'm just going to write a short post on this one as I'm actually running kinda late for a function.

We are the future leader of our nation, we will be the one who will shape the foundation for the generation after us. Hence, it is really important for every youth to step out of their shells and comfort to be a part of this nation. To play an important role to shape this country to be better than before and To even dare to voice out your concerns about a particular issue faced by the nation. From time to time we have heard and read a lot of social issues concerning our youth, you name it..I think we've nearly touched and did most of the social issues and problems that are faced by other nation. I still see that it's a blessing that our country is ruled by a stern monarch who stood still to the MIB philosophy. Just try to imagine, without MIB i think all hell will break loose here in Brunei.

Well, that's not my main concern as I am in no position to criticise more or voice out my concern about that. The main point of me writing today is hoping to inspire every youth to get out of their comfort zone and get rid of that "depending on others" attitude. It is an excellent idea for youths to step out and be independent, venture out and try new ideas to generate their own income (but of course by doing the right and legal thing).

Maybe some are still scared and skeptical of taking risks. Well, life is all about taking risk. The minute you get up from your bed, you're already taking the risk of letting something bad or good to happen to your life. So, why not further push yourself to dare to do something bigger that you could never imagine yourself of doing. The sky is the limit, dare to dream but yet try to achieve all of it one by one. Be an individual who has dreams and ambitions as by doing so, it will lead you to somewhere as long as you focus and put as much effort to it.

Did you read today's paper on an article that called out bruneian youth to not depend on other sectors to provide them job but rather to use every necessary skills and abilities they possessed?? I support that idea, nothing actually in this world is difficult to do cos for every problems there are its' solution, all it need is for you to use your mentality efficiently and at an optimum. If you are good in managing an event..why not open and run an event management company or services? if you're an inspirational individual, why not offer the service of giving inspirational and motivational talks? If you're good at web designs, why not offer your service to others to let them use you? at least you'll get more profit and you dont have to work for a boss.

I know i'm just jumbling things up here and there, but bear with me. I'm just writing everything down that's crossing my head.

Youth are the younger generation of the population, whom i believe still have the ability to dream and go wild with their imganition. All it need is for you to push yourself to go forward and achieve it. Dream, do it and do more!!!

Many have asked why I have been on such a long hiatus. Eversince I ventured into a new arena which is music composing and trying to produce more songs with Magnifhobia, I have been trying hard to dedicate most of my time learning the technical side of music composition and also learning to play more musical instruments. Alhamdulillah, I have managed to be at the amateur level of playing the piano which I think is better than mediocre? Listeners will expect more singles coming out soon as I have 4 in line, this time it will be my solo songs. Apart from that I apologised for not playing my own songs during my shows as requested by the texters and the listeners. I feel inappropriate and unethical to do so, hence it would be better if I just leave that to my colleagues either to play it or not.

Currently I am working on "aint gonna" my first solo single. Music is composed and co-produced my nazmo and myself, lyrics written by me based on my life experiences. I am really taking my time to work on this as I dont want it to turn out as a last minute and rush project. "aint gonna" is really a personal song which I think most listeners can relate themselves to, especially for those who are in a relationship that is opposed by people around your life.

Apart from working on my songs, I have my talkshow that I am co-hosting with a good ol' friend of mine from college. This talkshow is her baby and I am working my **s off to turn this into a golden product, of course with a lil assistance from other people too. We're aiming that RTB awards, thus we sacrificed our social lives to make this an excellent product created by rookie producers like us.

Last wednesday I had my recording with RIA FM Dj's (RZ and Azlin) from Singapore for an MOU programme in conjunction of Singapore's 44th National Day. Damn...after knowing the whole line up of the show, I really want to be there and be a part of it!! why? you'll find out soon enough=) It was really a great experience to be able to work with Radio Dj's from other country especially them 2. They were very humble and helpful, especially after I found out that I had to conduct the show in standard malay. Took me quite a while to tune myself to that frequency, but I am proud of myself that I was able to do it too. Thanks RZ and Azlin=)

Apart from that, I am trying my very best this time to take another initiative to quit smoking. It's difficult and all throughout the day I feel agitated and shivery. Didnt quit "cold turkey" though but I managed to cut it down from half a pack to just 2 sticks, and MAN THAT WAS HARD!!!! So, I will be expecting to have all those withdrawal symptoms pretty soon and apart from that I will be gaining more weight in the upcoming month. Best solution to this? I'm hitting back to the gym and Tasek Lama and giving my 100% commitment to "project Leonidas". Yups, that's right, I'm aiming to sculp "muh" body and start living nicotine-less and healthy life.

alhamdulillah the audition went well, 24 people tried out for the quest of looking for fresh new talents. Big thanks to Aulait cafe as well for allowing us to use their VIP area to conduct our audition earlier this afternoon. Not forgetting thanks to all hopeful attendees, you guys really know how to pull that talent out from u. So the good news is that, pre-production of the talkshow will commence next 2 weeks where the 3 minutes sketch drama will be filmed. Then it will be the main part of the show..which I like to call it as the "dr phil and oprah" time.

Credits to Aida for putting a lot of effort in preparing the paperwork and logistics of this talkshow, and may this be a success for both of us. Amiin.

I am currently working on my first solo single, which I am putting high hopes that it could be a hit in our local airwaves. "aint gonna" is something really personal to me, thus I will try to put my very best of effort for this. Will update everyone on this soon it is done, recorded and mastered!=)

Apart from that, I still have some trouble on choosing what song to sing for this upcoming Hari Raya's "suara pelangi". The recording will be on the 4th august...and I am brain dead. Any suggestions?
I know that I've said twitter is a ridiculous thing to do to some of my friends, but...I guess I should give it a try and let's see if i'll get hooked to it like FB, lolz..so yeah I finally have my twitter!!!=p

our local music act, an industry or just an act?

p.s: Bear with me as this will be an informal writing about my random thoughts that hit me at 4 in the morning. I could not sleep and I met an inspirational figure earlier, hence what we talked about earlier just kept on ringing and knocking my head crazily! So everything will be jumbled up, just bear with me=)

Here in Brunei, being a tv or radio host or even actors/actresses or singers or dancers it has never been a lucrative business to start with. As part of the factor that this line is seasonal, the other is that the pay is just way below the level received in other "media and entertainment oriented" country. Payment wise, most entertainers complained about the amount that they are receiving. But there's nothing much that can be done as:

1- most shows or dramas are broadcasted via RTB which is a non profit media organization. People dont pay to watch RTB and it's free, hence there's not much money generated to pay more to the entertainers. when there's not much money to offer, then the level of enthusiasm/professionalism/ creativity/ and motivation are low.

2- For entertainers, there are no legal association that could protect the rights and interest of every entertainers in Brunei. Which to some event organisers, they would take advantage to this and pay "lao ya" figures to the performers eventhough the local performers are or can be better than the invited guests.

3- Most would expect our local performers to come up with brilliance and excellence in terms of their music productions.

Most would keep on dissing our local acts and hoping them to come up with something better. Now, here's an eye opener to everyone.

fact 1- local artists are not paid royalties for the songs broadcasted and aired unlike those artists from abroad.

fact 2- Artists from abroad depend mostly on their tours and concerts to generate their income in order to produce their songs and albums. Album sales do not generate as much income as their tours and concerts. In our context, local artists have such a small platform to really establish themselves. the questions that always arises are: would bruneians be willing to pay to attend their concert? to what level would they suport our local acts? would half or 3/4 of our population be willing to purchase albums or singles produced?

fact 3- our Local act has not yet been recognised as an industry in Brunei.

fact 4- due to our small population, market is really minute compared to other country with bigger population and bigger demand for entertainment.

fact 5- media does less coverage on the issues of local acts.

fact 6- We have no publicist in Brunei to manage the publicity of our local acts.

fact 7- our local entertainers and performers are just part timers. Unlike those from abroad, they breath, sleep, shower and eat full time as an entertainer. Why does this happen in Brunei? To be an entertainer is never a firm(what's the best word for this??) source of financial support. People have bills to pay, hence most entertainers in brunei are civil servants and some work with the private sectors.

I believe that the most important thing here is not just about curbing down piracies, but what we need are the basis or foundations for local acts. I mean, legal foundations which could support our local acts. First thing would be setting up the level of payments and royalties that entertainers should be getting from organisers then the rest would be the support that locals give to our local entertainment act. Oh...I do think that if our entertainment act is legally accepted as an industry that are well supported by specific bodies, then there will be hope to even see our very own artists on stage in prestigous abroad music awards such as the recent Anugerah Planet Musik that was held in Indonesia. Don't you just feel "grigitan" whenever the hosts and artists keeps on mentioning Brunei over and over again? I did..cos i was on going telling my friends and families that one day I and the rest of our bruneian musicians, hosts, actors and actresses would like to be there!! And I believe that we can, as long as we start working on our basic foundation here..which is to have a stable+rigid+firm music and entertainment industry!!

1 month plus to go then it's graduation time. I am still lingering on to the idea of working for myself and not be under anyone's direct orders and sorts. Perhaps I am just too comfortable now for where I am standing and all. But how far can I go working all throughout the days and nights just to ensure that I have money coming in to my account? In the end I still have to resort to getting myself employed either by any public or private sector. I have to be real and live tangible life in which I do not have to fear of being disposed as a matter of age, complexion and competition. I have been trying to reflect myself unto the senior entertainers and performers, but not one have I seen them making this career a tangible and "life supporting" in the long run.

Which reminds me, I bumped into one of our senior officer last 3 weeks ago and he advised me to continue my education at a master level and perhaps PHD while I'm still young. Right now I'm just torn between making a choice of either to work first and do my masters later or do my masters first and work afterwards? sigh...being an adult is so not fun.

on a happier note, last week was our pre-graduation night at the polo club. I was the committee member taking charge of entertainment side and also was the emcee. Yups..I made a promise to someone that I'll turn up for this one since I skipped my college's graduation night due to some reasons. I have to say that I really enjoyed the night despite feeling awkward of not knowing many people from my faculties. 4 years of studying there..and I only know a handful of them. Quite embarrassing though of not knowing their names eventhough some were my coursemates xp my bad~ Oh and another thing as well, I was also involved that night performing a dance routine with the coursemates. First time of dancing to a choreographed routine..pitbull's move, shake and drop. Thanks Balai for the choreography..happening terus that night.

Hi guys, i hope that everyone is doing fine and not too badly affected with the dry season that is affecting Brunei Darussalam at the moment. Yea i do know that the bush fires happening here and there are really crazy, just yesterday at berakas and k.b itselves saw humongous blaze swallowing their forests. So people, what does that mean? stop open burning!!come on help us out here, dont even think and dare to worsen things off here. It's a good thing that locals and their properties weren't affected, if it does..then u should feel guilty for it!

alright, let's not be bitter here. I am currently working on my night shift tonight and i posed this one simple question to my listeners, "what is love to you"? guess what?this texter sent me this beautiful definition of what love is to him/her as it included everything. hello boys and girls, hope everything is fine with you lots and perhaps some of you might be riding a crazy rollercoaster at the moment so if you can just try to hold on to it until you can solve things nicely then do so. Don't go on a breakdown, be strong and be tough. Do remember, life is never easy..if it is then I can assure you that you would not have as much fun with it as you have right now.

It has been awhile that I have not write anything especially about my skepticism. I guess it must be due to a lot of things have been going on in my life. But we'll skip all those sappy and utterly ridiculous self humiliation and just jump on to the best things that has happened in my life of being errr...the "unemployed to be graduate". Lolz..no no no..i'm not praying and wanting to be unemployed for the rest of my life, I am trying to look and settle down with a decent job so that I can start play my major role as the eldest son.

Anyway, I wont be babbling much about my thoughts and all just yet. Maybe, that will be in the next post but for the meantime i just want to share with my dear readers and chatters why i have been missing for err..some time.

As you all know from my previous post that I am an individual who is money driven, thus I have been trying my very best to occupy every free time that I have by running my business. I dont know if you could really call it as a business though but heys..I'm earning something from it. I am still waiting for calls as such to host more tv shows and programmes but that seems to be quite a dissappointment. I really dont know..I think I have passed my time and some might see me as "bangas" already. Lolz..just kidding.

Eversince exams were over, I have been preoccupying myself with my old time favourite hobby which is playing the guitar (strumming and plucking the lead to most songs) and also learning how to play the piano which I think it would help me to develop another new career as a stage performer (singing wise). So I have been sitting down in my room most of the time, recording melodies and writing lyrics for my own songs. Thanks to the help of Magnophobia and Layzee records production, these hobby of mine is turned into another deep interest. So far, I have been doing 3 collaborations with them such as my 1st single- troubled mind, 2nd upcoming single which I just re-edited it yesterday - mari berdansa will insyallah be released this mid June, 3rd collaborations will be coming out soon as well something that everyone will be familiar with and so on. You can say that I have been productive on the song writing side b'cos just yesterday afternoon we managed to compose 2 more new songs for myself which this time it will be just me..no collabos. I think i've picked up the confidence, hence i Should try belting out my own numbers too=)

Apart from this, alhamdulillah..eventhough my rezki on the tv hosting side has been rather on a halt. But, I managed to gain something better in which I will be starting my training this Saturday for that one particular show for all throughout the month. sigh~ But i still want to host another tv show..seriously missed being in front of the camera and I think I'm starting to be a bit rusty.

Hmm..what else? owh..yesterday i received a call to attend an acting audition, but I was really dissappointed because i could not attend it since I was only called when I was about to reach K.B.. frustrating?yes of course...another chance to act for another drama..blew it away. takpelah..maybe there's a better offer soon?hopefully!

P2f reunion concert is coming soon, that's something for me and every p2fers to look forward to=) who's the host? I dont even know myself. We'll just wait and see.

Emceeing gigs? yups..back active with it, alhamdulillah~

random: I miss my band..and I am looking forward to perform and belt few rock songs + myself playing the lead guitar to it. That will be awesome!!just like the old times. Owh..several friends have recommended me to stick to alternative rock as my image on the performing side, but I think i'd rather go for RnB since I find it a lot of a challenge on the vocals and writing the lyrics.

So i guess that's pretty much about the updates, hope that fills in your doubt for my dissappearances. After this, you wont be reading anything about self updates anymore..back to real readings and critical skepticisms~

Kita tertanya-tanya, apa yang kita mahukan lagi? wang sudah ada, teman-teman yang setia disisi kita selalu memberikan respon yang positif apabila kita memerlukan mereka, keluarga, kerja, harta benda...apa lagi yang kurang?

Sering kali kita mendesak diri kita untuk mencapai beberapa kejayaan di dalam hidup ini. Satu demi satu kejayaan telah pun kita capai, tetapi dunia ini terlalu besar maka peluang dan kejayaan itu juga besar dan begitu "diverse". Ramai yang mengatakan, langit adalah had bagi mencapai segalanya. Tetapi sampai manakah kemampuan kita untuk tiba di tahap kejayaan yang paling tinggi?

Kejayaan membawa makna yang berbeza kepada setiap individu. Tetapi, apakah erti kejayaan yang sebenar-benarnya? mungkin kita boleh memanggil kejayaan itu sebagai kejayaan mutakhir. an unusual wake up call

When you are in a relationship, would you change (for the better) for your partner? especially when that relationship is taken to another level (serious ones), doesn't it mean that you have to try to do something to make your partner's families to like you too? not to be oblivious or ignore the fact that it is a very critical thing to do so as to be accepted by them?

hmm...i guess it is true when they say nothing hurts as bad as being in love especially when love is taken to another level that requires a lot of sacrifices, compromises and a lot of patience.

i'm just blabbering and pointing out certain things that came across my mind after observing several individuals at gadong earlier this afternoon.

oh ya, have you guys watched syurga cinta? Man...i love it!!! it has portrayed every values that i always looked for in a malay movie you name it..social, family, religious and love values. I love the script as it is very meaningful and it was an umph! I still remember several things said in the movie such as (which sound something along the line):

1- if we are left by someone that we really love and cherish for a reasonable reason, we should not dwell into sadness instead cherish every moment that we had with that person. We should believe in qada' and qadar.

2- there are 3 different "Jodoh".

Huh....well, I can tell you this..that movie "syurga cinta" is worth every penny to watch. Maybe I have that soft spot in my heart that made me touched by every lines and act said, but it was my mini wake up call. For the time being I do not want to think much about "jodoh", but I do keep on praying that god will bless me with a lady that is worth every drop of my blood to sacrifice for. She doesn't need to be alim, as what I am looking for is a lady who knows what is her obligation. As long as she prays 5 times a day, knows what her responsibilities are, knows every basics about the religion...i would be thankful.

a measure of someone's piousness towards their religion is not via the 'jubah' and the 'tudong' that they wear, as some are only muslims on paper whereas some are muslims on practise. the true measure toward's one's piousness is their sincerity in doing every obligations. I actually wrote about this issue before, but i guess it is never wrong to state it again. Deeds done are meant to be only between you, god and that person that you helped. Obligations performed are only between you and god, not to be bragged to others. But I guess i wont touch about this any further as I am not in the right position to talk about religion. Insyallah, one day when that time comes..amiin..

to impress or just dont give an F about it?

Sometimes we wonder if we are bounded by the rule of law on life that are created by the urban society, whether we should live our life trying to impress others or we should only impress ourselves? very few of us live our life of not caring what others might think or say about us, most would be living life based on making the best first impression to others. Whom among us falls into such categories of being blissfully ignorant and carefree? and whom among us dares to shift ourselves into such categories?

can you follow? I may sound like i'm going around the bush, but that's the wonders about skepticisms =p

Let's not try to condemn any parties. But we cannot live our life and deny the facts. Don't you think that "to impress" has been the way of life for some groups in our society? that to a point they burden themselves to an extent, even knowing that it is beyond their capabilities or affordability. To give examples in further details would be critical, thus I will leave it to you readers to leave your comments to help me out with the examples.

suicidal teenagers

good evening everyone,

i'm back and hoping that, with a more loose schedule I can write more about my thoughts and perhaps come up with something worthwhile to share with you readers.

My exams are just done and well..let's say that operation "getting a permanent job" has just started, so that means I am now listed in the statistics of unemployed. But i am not complaining about it though, as i think it would be great to have 3 months break before I start looking for serious money.

Now, for the past few days every local blogsite have been in a "hooha" deliberately discussing about the "student Phenomenon". But i have been warned by several others not to mention it here as it may stir up the sensitivity of our national security. Really? why is it ever so wrong to talk about what's really happening in our country especially on the issues of our youth? Alright, let's get straight to the point.

Couple of weeks ago, several friends of mine who are education officers in several secondary schools have been sharing with me about their dilemmas of facing their dramatic students. I was quite shock to see several videos posted in you tubes and also stories of different version flavoured accordingly to the writer's liking, stories about suicidal students. Well, these cases are not that new here and globally thus some might take these issues lightly. But looking at the psychological aspects of such students behaving in such ways, we come to wonder why is it that they are more than willing to go to such extent of ending their life just because their partners left them?

My friends have somehow told me that i should not speculate them and expect them to be able to handle things easily. My beliefs are that, once your partner decides to leave you just dont sweat and bother with it. I know it is heart breaking, but your ex partner is not everything your life is worth to end for. He/she leaves you..take a deep breath..cry for awhile..pick yourself up and move on, as they saying goes there are more fishes in the oceans and the sea if you cant find one in Brunei go and find others outside the country. Another thing is, I'm always surprised on how students at primary and secondary levels can get really really serious when they are in a relationship. It's as if that they are engaged or tied up to each other. But why? why do some wants to get themselves tied up at such an early age especially when you havent seen and experience other things that the world can offer to you?

well, that's my point of view and it may conflict with yours. Dont start to hate me now..i'm not speculating you, but it's just a matter of me pointing out my thoughts and beliefs.

So i came to talk with my parents about these issues, and they came to a conclusion that such behaviors are mostly caused by those young partners who have done things that they are not supposed to such as premarital sex and so on. These kind of things are common these days and even the before days, especially on the girls. But ya we will discuss this more next time as i have a dinner date with my peers to catch.

What's your point of view about such issues? teenage students being suicidal? what can we do to help them?what are the parents' roles to counter such act? leave your comments.

Wedding and family reunion

Good afternoon readers,

Friday, a day well spent among us malays with our families attending a relative's wedding ceremony in which most of these functions would normally last for 2weeks max.

I attended my 1st cousin's 'akad nikah' ceremony or 'the wedding vows' earlier and I must admit that I have lost track with each and every one of my cousins' progress. Now..let's do a quick count..most of my guy cousins are happily married now and only 5 of us bachelors are left. So as usual, all the elders asked everyone of us the 'bonus' question..'when will it be our turn?', which I was quick enough to assure all of them that i'd be the 5th, the last to get married :p

All throughout the afternoon, the time was well spent on updating each other with what's the latest happenings in our lives. It was great and I am happy to know that each one of them are achieving what they're targetting in their lives. But what intrigued me was the talk about retracing our roots. It has always been my interest to find out more about the origins of our families since all of us have unique and authentic facial characteristics.

Our height would shoot up to a max of 6'2, fair complexions, some of my cousins' have small 'sepet' eyes, and ermm there's one thing that I really find unique among us guys..some of us have orange beard (which I have too), some would have orange hair since birth and some would have sharp pointy nose. So that sums up that some of us carry the genetic strains of european traits. So I kept on asking the elders of our origins..and all they could say is that we are 'rojak'. But what we are certain is that we are mixed pakistani, javanese and chinese..the rest? Still to be find out once we are done with the salasilah of our late grandparents on my mother's side.

Owh..i've learned a new brunei word today..'jabal-jabal', so i'm wondering if any of you knows what it means.

Don't eat chicken sandwiches, no matter what.....

A little boy and a little girl attended the same school and became friends.
Every day they would sit together to eat their lunch.
They discovered that they both brought chicken sandwiches every day!

This went on all through Primary Four and Primary Five, until one day he noticed that her
sandwich wasn't a chicken sandwich anymore.

He said, 'Hey, how come you're not eating chicken? Don't you like it anymore?'

She said 'I love it but I have to stop eating it.'

'Why?' he asked.

She pointed to her lap and said 'Cause I'm starting to grow little feathers down there!'

'Let me see' he said.

'Okay' and she pulled up her skirt.

He looked and said, 'That's right. You are! Better not eat any more chicken.'

He kept eating his chicken sandwiches until one day he brought peanut butter sandwiches.

He said to the little girl, 'I have to stop eating chicken sandwiches, I'm starting to get feathers down there too!'
She asked if she could look, so he pulled down his pants for her.

She said, 'Oh, my God, it's too late for you! You've already got the neck and the gizzards!!!

and apart from that...i took the darah keturunan quiz from facebook..and i am not loving it..they say that I have the bloodline of a Tabib/Bomoh...lolz..what a joke!

Good p.m readers and salam.

Another week has passed and I guess most of u had a blast with it ya? It's a brand new day and a brand new week today..huh..i'm starting to feel the blues.

Last night I bumped into a cousin of mine who popped the magic and sensitive question of all other questions that she could ask 'when is your turn to tie the knot?'. I think she is the 100th+ person who has asked me that. I'm just turn 23 this year and isn't it way too early to ask me to settle down now? So I just simply told her..insyallah 2 or 3 years time. Still too young to tie the knot honey..will do so once I am ready holisticly.

Apart from that, I have 3more weeks to spend in UBD until my last paper that is the 13th of May. Somehow I am dreading that I have lesser time left..I think I am really going to miss the student's life. But we have to learn to grow out of it right?can't stay as a student forever as we have to learn to earn a living and continue the saga of 'shouldering responsibilities' for the families.

I just hope that I can at least get a 2-2 for my degree, that would be fine enough. So i'm taking up a nazar that if I achieve such results or better i'll fast for a whole month. For the examination preparations, I think I can go for it..I think..and i've decided that i'm shaving off my hair to ease me the trouble of having to style it early in the a.m and also to make my head feel lighter.

I'm just ranting out actually.as I said i've got the blues..'oooh...i've got the blues babyy~'
Real working life is just a month away...no more being a student..my parents even gave me the permission to start having a real and serious girlfriend now. Hmmm..just a question to you lots, what's your personal criteria for a fitting partner to spend your lifetime together?

I'm just done with the gig.I am knackered..uberly knackered..but I had lots of fun! The teachers and staff of SMPW were dressed to kill. Teachers and staffs road to hollywood:) congatulations to those who won the lucky draw prizes and also the geography department quiz of guessing, 3 winners .

Oh the speacial guest performer for the night was Zul F, rendering 4 tracks - inikah cinta by M.E, terima kasih cinta - afgan, right here waiting- richard marx, and lastly zul's own song-dari mata.

Thanks to the teachers and staffs for a wonderful evening. It's great to know as well that the director of school remembered who I was..her student:) ur the bomb cikgu!

let's make this as the highlight of my post for today. thanks to c pinky for forwarding this to me. Seriously, I thought i've known some better people who at least gives respect to the quran eventhough they are not muslims. But to know that these happened here in Brunei? wow..that's a major shock.

Policy analysis and implementation in brunei

My skepticism was raised after my revision earlier this morning.

What is the status ofour policy analysis here in brunei?is it based on traditional policy analysis whereby the use of experts who are well equipped with knowledge and informations on the policy but the participation from the member of concerned public are neglected? Or are we using more of a democratical approach where the participation of the concerned public are taken into account?which is more of a participatory public analysis?

As for the experts, are locals being used whereby consideration of the nature of our society, the norms and the structure of society are considered?

For the informations gathered during the legco meetings, did that help in the formulation/formation of public policy in Brunei? Why aren't the budget allocations for each sectors disclosed to the members of the public?so as to not raise further questions? Furthermore we do all know that policy progress and developments are rather made incrementally rather than radically.

When will it be the appropriate time where members of legco are majorly elected than appointed so that they can represent the members of the public well enough?

spn21, who formulated this education policies?were there any public participatory in it? Why is it only now criticisms arises from the public especially local scholars?

A change in routine

Good morning readers :) had a good breakfast? Maybe some of u r still thinking of what to have today, need some suggestions? What you could do is try to avoid those oily and fatty foods in the early morning? Cos you would not want to feel lazy and unproductive in the early morning for work or school do you? Cereals?wholemeal bread? Oats?fruits? Cheese? Half boiled eggs are the easiest to make? Perhaps for the drinks you could opt for something uncaffeinated as such fruit juices, skimmed milk or protein shakes? A little something for a healthy body, mind and soul.

I'm done attending my lectures and tutorials as my exams are just around the corner. I am not that ready with all the principles, quotation and study cases that i'm suppose to memorise for the exams but what I can say is that I will try my very best for it. I have been revising and at the same time making early preparations for other things too as such 'my life after UBD'.

Since I am nevr an early morning person, I decided to make some changes in life. After my subuh prayers, I Should hit the road and make a run for 2 laps around my village..eventhough when I timed myself I was pretty slow for it, 22mins! I need to reduce it to 15mins at least by tomorrow then reduce more until I can achieve less than 10mins. If my younger sister can finish 6laps of the track within 15mins I think I can. Oh ya..2laps around my village is equivalent to 6laps of the tracks ya?

Apart from that, I am also learning to skip my late night snacks and supper which mainly consist of instant noodles, chachos (with spring onion dip) and a slice of choc mud cake. It's hell to to try to skip these but it's for the best of it. Need to b fit and healthy since I still fail to cut down my cigarette smoking..it's what you call as compromising things..I still can't quit or cut down..hence I shud ct down all my fatty intakes.

I will make another attempt after the exam to quit smoking again, so do spare me those niccorettes?2packs please..and my will power to quit. Huh..why did I even agree to start smoking in the first place..such a disaster.

So this is it..a change in routine..wake up uberly early..jog..then swim..in d p.m go hiking twice a week, 3 visits to the gym per week and voila..that should be fine and enough to rebuild my tummy pacs and my fitness.

I really do hope that this year my rezki will be murah..amiin..more shows,gigs, songs, acting offers and yada yada yada..I just hope that I would not be wasting a lot of my time jobless before next year's march kicks in.

Funny how some of my chatters think that I am as cheap as any other booty calls lookers out there. News flash! I aint!

First things first, the reason why I gave my msn address is not for me to expect any invitation for me to come over in the middle of the night to meet any of you secretly. I aint risking myself for any 'khalwat' cases.

2nd, I would respect and appreciate it very much if any of you stop forwarding me nuisance emails as such the kama sutras and such related things as I find that really shallow. If I need to know any sex skills or what sort I will inform you. But for th time being, I have my own kama sutra book which is far complete than your emails. Thank you very much:)

3rd- I would appreciate it if you try to stop emailing me you home addresses and phone no.s as I do not want any. I do not flirt via the cyber world nor do I need to seek itimacies via the cyber world. I'm still the traditional gentleman who seeks pleasure taking the challenge of flirting and courting women face to face. Call me thick face, but the traditional works better than the conventional means.

4th- to that particular individual who gave me 4 big boxes of condoms as birthday present, thank you very much. I didn't have to spend much on buying protections plus since it was a lot..it was great for making it as water balloons. Great fun;)

Multiple personalities

Gd a.m dear readers, wishing everyone is good today.

I woke up pretty early today as some few things somehow bothered my mind and I decided to make a run for it. The breeze at 5a.m was really great to make me enjoy my morning run, eventhough it was still dark and my scare for stray dogs in my village filled me too but overall it was great. I think I needed to release some endorphines since for the past few days I have been thinking a lot about several things. Let's skip this for the mean time, I will write another post about my thoughts ya?

Back to my skepticism.

1st- why do some people create a second personality or perhaps multiples to be able to live life confidently? Sometimes it makes you think and wonder with which personality you have been talking with especially when it comes to your partner or friends. Sometimes I fear individuals having to create another personality in order to help them to go through life. I mean, that just simply defines you as a very weak individual that you depend on other things to make you stronger. On the other hand, it also makes you think that such individuals are psycho.

But who are we to easily judge them as we may not understand the situation that they are really in. Huh..I do understand if certain individual be another personality on a one off basis, but to be another personality to cover the weakness in you? doesnt that just clarify you as simply wanting to run and hide?

Problems in life should be solved, not to run away from. To be strong, mentally;physically;spiritually you do not need to create another personality but just be the person you are and just improvise it. Better yourself by embracing who you really are not by being sonebody.

You may come up with different names to yourself, but deep down insidE you are still you. You you you you!

I know I may sound hypocritical, buy the z.s is the professional side of me..but once i'm off air and off stage, I am just the I.s that wears z.s as a profession.

Gibberish?to some...but some of you might understand what i'm talking about here.

It has been quite awhile I worked around these times..2yrs to be precise as most of the time I would be either in the morning or the afternoon.

So what's on during these times?nothing much actually, 6-7pm will be the time where we djs share some motivational thoughts with our listeners.the songs genre will be dakwah and nasyid, the azan for maghrib prayers will be around these time period too. 7-8pm is strictly for local songs only. Funny that most of my chatters asked me to play my own song earlier. Err...I don't do that seriously..cos if i'm going to play my own song during my shift, that would be against my work ethics. Self promos during our radio shifts are not advisable.

But anyway, congrats to qeez@p2f for her single "takkan", and emel "bagaikan bayanganmu". Congrats to both of you.

To the rest of you readers n listeners of pelangi fm, if u like my single too you can request for it from my colleagues. Troubled mind- dj z ft one-d and ancun.

itS really great to help students to expose their school's activities as the public are not too aware o it as some school lacks in media publicity. But with this segment, I really do hope the rest of the students from oher schools would be willingly take this opportunity Pelangi Fm provides to expose them.

Anyhoo, I enjoyed the chat. Glad to know my college is doing we'll and developing from in both academic and non academics activities. Now, one thing that I need to highlight here..boleh ikut kah ke NZ ah for your school trip?

I just want to share with you readers bout my thought today. Have you ever wonder why it is among human's nature to be easily unsatisfied with what they have.

Sometimes we get to see couples drifting away from each other. Either the bf/gf or both would tend to still look for others that are better than their current partners? They might still stay with each other but at the same time, still complementing and perhaps do something more with that individual who is better than the current partner. Scary? I would not be surprised as this has been a trend since centuries ago. Deceit and cheating? Some of you could say that whereas to that person who is experiencing it, they might see this as a way to solve their problems.

It may not make any sense to you, but if you ever get yourself into such mess then you will perfectly understand why you and others behaved in such ways.

Now apart from that, it is good enouh for any1 to at least do such act while they are only in the early stage of the relationship. But, you may have heard some living on the phrase of 'if you just really love that someone so much it does not matter if they are engaged or married, because even married people gets divroces what else if they are only engaged or just bf/gf'.

Yeah..I know that such phases are commonly used these days. But the question that lies to be answered by you would be that of your self integrity and dignity. Try to put yourself in their shoes, would you like it if others disturbs your marriage and take away your partner that you have invested your time/effort and money on them? Just as simple as that. But if you are the type who just does not give a *f* bout such morale issues, so be it.

Lessons of life: stay out of people's marriage and don't try to create carnage by creating bull to others. To that certain lady..insaf tah dang..jgn ngacau laki orang ani..inda baik..and jgn ngakun diri atu bini yang kedua if belum tentu bnarnya diri atu nda benikah dgn kedia. Sandi yo!

I jut got here in the hospital,alhamdulillah that everything went well. My sister gave birth to a healthy 3+kg baby girl. She's a beauty:) and guess what? The moment I stepped into my sister's room and when my sister told the baby that her 'asai' is here, she opened her eyes and looked at me. There's no word can describe my level of happiness when I saw her.

Fair complexion, lots of hairs..dark brown eyes..long fingers,a beautiful face..and her laughter, alhamdulillah..thanks to allah for the blessings, all the protection that has been given to my sister during her 1hr non struggling labour- which to my surprise she didn't even feel any pain nor struggled during the labour. My niece, the new light to our family:)

just a quick update today...

1- I'm darn happy that my sister just gave birth safely..alhamdulillah.
2- I am still thinking and trying to organise my life after the examinations. Need to come up with own strategic life management plan...benchmarking...objectives and missions..lolz i know right?it's as if like i'm running an organization, but heys...strategic management is not only applicable to organisations but to personal lives too.
3- Since i will be done with my studies, i need to redefine "success" with regards to my life. it is a very diverse definition and to different individuals it means differently.
4-by today i am officially an uncle to my new born baby niece=)
5- will be taking a leave from media work from the 1st till 10th may. After that, more focus and attentions will be prioritised on my own personal development.
6- my modelling gig is postponed to June to an undisclosed date. Sucks...this is the "entah ke berapa kalinya" kena postponed.

Anyhoo, this is just a little preview to you loyal readers. Just another update for my activities is that I am involved in a modelling gig, which sadly enough has been postponed for so many times. It is very annoying that it somehow troubled me to reschedule a lot of things with my other projects and works. But let's just hope that it would not be rescheduled and postponed again this time, as I am really looking forward for the big break gig.

Tonight is the practise and the so said surprised that they have for us. Let's see what's in it for us tonight=)
